RS485 control is one of the Low voltage control way, also is the wired control way. It requires a data cable to transmit the signal.

RS485 Protocol Wiring Mode:

Noted:

1. Motors can automatically identify switch and RS485 Protocol appliance。

2. The “motor RJ11 data open and close switch interface application” and the “RS485 protocol application” cannot be used with the motor at the same time. ( It can not use by dry contact open and close application if already choose to use the RS485 Protocol to control the motor.)

3. The data level switch and the RS485 application cannot connect with the motor at the same time.
PS.: the lever switch means when the switch choose open or close, switch circuit will keep the same state. Only means the date switch. Wall Power switches still support connect with the motor.

What is RS485?

  6. Multi-Point and Multi-Drop: RS-485 can be configured in multi-point (devices connected in a daisy-chain) or multi-drop (devices branching off the main line) topologies.
